01 - Challenge

The problem to solve

Offshore connectivity is invisible. The product is signal, uptime and people who show up in storms - none of which a typical telecom website can make you feel.

The new site had to earn trust with operators who work in harsh conditions, explain a complex service portfolio clearly, and still stay fast and readable for search and AI assistants.

Goals
  1. 01Make an invisible service - signal and uptime - tangible
  2. 02Earn trust with operators in harsh conditions
  3. 03Stay fast, readable and indexable despite heavy 3D
02 - The idea

Offshore connectivity is invisible - so the website takes you on a descent into the conditions it has to survive.

03 - Approach

Key decisions and why

The site is structured as a descent in six chapters - Surface, Signal, Descent, Reality, Systems and Depth - with a live telemetry HUD showing link status, sea state and latency.

WebGL scenes turn the abstract into the tangible: a storm-lit ocean, a particle globe of global operations and wireframe infrastructure. Every chapter keeps real HTML content underneath, so the experience is cinematic for people and legible for machines.

Decision 01

Six chapters instead of a page of sections

Surface to Depth turns a service portfolio into a story people finish.

Decision 02

A live telemetry HUD

Link status, sea state and latency speak the language of the people Deepsea serves.

Decision 03

WebGL for meaning, not decoration

Storm ocean, particle globe and wireframe infrastructure each explain part of the offer.

Decision 04

Real HTML under every scene

Search engines and AI assistants read the full story even when the 3D does not load.

06 - Outcome

What changed

The redesign is in progress in 2026. It gives Deepsea a digital presence that finally matches the reliability of its field teams, and a template for how B2B infrastructure brands can use 3D to make the invisible visible.
